Preparation - Easy
Serves 6

1 1/2 lb medium frozen (shelled) or fresh (shelled), defrosted and dried off on paper towel
3 T *"Old Bay" seasoning or more to taste, (Maryland seafood seasoning)
3 T olive oil
2 garlic cloves, coarsely chopped
28 oz can crushed or chopped tomatoes, pureed in a blender or food processor
1 T fresh flat-leaf parsley, washed and chopped
Salt
1 lb. spaghettini or spaghetti
6 quarts water

In a large pan lightly brown the garlic in 1 tablespoons olive oil.
Add tomatoes; simmer for 10 minutes over medium heat, stirring occasionally with a wooden spoon. Do not salt.
In another pan, heat the rest of the olive oil over medium to high heat.
Throw in the shrimp.
Sprinkle with "Old Bay" seasoning. Stir shrimp so they cook evenly and absorb seasoning, 2 to 3 minutes.
Add the shrimp to the tomato sauce.
Simmer lightly for a few minutes. Turn off heat. Taste for seasoning. Let it stand for a few minutes more, covered, to blend the flavors.
Meanwhile, cook the pasta.
When done, drain and place in a warm bowl.
Pour on the shrimp and tomato sauce, sprinkle with parsley, and toss.
Serve.

*Old Bay seasoning is Maryland seafood seasoning which can be found by the seafood section in most markets.
