TOAST WITH PEAS, MUSHROOMS AND HAM

Crostini alla capricciosa

Preparation - Easy

Crostini are small pieces of bread, cut either in rounds, squares, or triangles that are usually buttered and toasted, have a spread put on and garnished . Bear in mind that all quantities are approximate, a more or less topping to taste.

  • 8 French or Italian bread in 1/2 inch thick slices
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter (dpending
  • 1 t cooked frozen or fresh peas per round
  • 1 t sautéed mushrooms, per round
  • ham, thinly sliced

PREHEAT oven to 400 º F.

BUTTER a baking or cookie sheet.

PLACE the bread in it with the slices overlapping slightly.

AS bread toasts, melt the appropriate amount of butter, and add the right quantities of peas, mushrooms and ham for the number of slices of bread you are preparing.

AS soon as bread is golden, remove the baking dish from oven and pour the topping over it. Serve hot.
